Life Drawing Sketch Club Returns
For One Night Only!
Gift yourself some creative time this arts trail weekend
This Saturday evening, come along to LIFE DRAWING AFTER DARK with nudes and tunes and a splash of BYO wine.
Take up an easel and a stick of charcoal and let the vibe and the company whip your imagination back into shape.
Afraid to make your mark? No worries... we cater for all levels of artists (including complete beginners). This is a evening that's all about fun and reconnecting with your creative spirit.
Bring your Besties or make new ones, but spaces are limited so don't leave it too long to decide.
BYO art materials. But don't panic if you forget as butcher's paper and charcoal will be available on the night.
Working from life, this one-off evening of life drawing amongst friends promises to be a relaxed night of creativity and fun.
Sketch club is for you if you want to:
- Try your hand at life drawing.
- Meet fellow art lovers and creatives.
- Get some practice in figure drawing from life.
- Enjoy an evening of creativity after a day on the trail.
The evening will start with quick poses and gesture drawing to loosen up, and progress to longer poses (max 30 mins) for more detailed work. There will be a short break midway through the evening to get to know your fellow sketchers.
This event is suitable for everyone, from total beginners to keen hobbyists and professional artists.
Ric Abel has been running life drawing evenings since his time at Sydney's Artichoke Gallery-Café in the early 2000's. Cat Doyle joined him a few years back, and regularly runs life drawing evenings off-site.
This is an untutored session, but guidance will be available if you need it from Ric or Cat.
Please let us know if you'd like some assistance when you arrive.
