Come paint with local artist Kathy Karas in this fun-filled acrylics workshop exploring the values of tone
With energy and enthusiasm, local artist Kathy Karas will demonstrate how to paint our beloved Australian Magpies in black and white with all the tones that lie between them.
Working large for impact, you will be guided step-by-step from the first beginnings of your painting right through to completion over five hours with a break for a yummy grazing-style lunch along the way.
Working with black and white is the best way to get your eye to recognise different tones before you start painting in colour. So if you're a total beginner to painting, this workshop is a fantastic place to start. If you're already painting and struggle with tones, then you'll also find this day invaluable in helping to understand tonal values before leaping back into colour.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, creatives in another medium who want to try out acrylics, and intermediate-level painters.
All art materials (including a large 61x76cm canvas) and lunch are included so you simply need to turn up and enjoy the day!
Kathy has a genuine caring nature along with her wonderful attention to each and everyone of her students no matter their level of creativity.
